NORTH PEACE FALL FAIR
August 16 - August 18
If you’re planning a trip up the scenic Alaska Highway, be sure to arrange it so that you’re in Fort St John during the 3rd weekend of August. The North Peace Fall Fair, just 21 km outside of town, has wholesome entertainment for the entire family.
It’s a celebration of agriculture with a nod to the way things used to be done. Enjoy watching the livestock shows, where young people show off their cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, pets, and rabbits that they have raised. See riders putting their horses through their paces. Watch the stock dogs herd sheep. Lots of exhibits of home baking and canning, garden vegetables and flowers. View the various forms of handicrafts and artwork, from young and old alike, as well as fabulous photography. Compete in log sawing and pitch a game of horseshoes. Enjoy the live entertainment on stage, including an amateur talent show. There’s a wide variety of food vendors to choose from, along with bouncy castles and face painting to make the little ones smile.
Come for the day or camp for the weekend!
